English work in Class 8BM at Turney School has involved the pupils working on a piece of travel writing as we come to the close of the summer term. The student have been understanding how certain language is used in travel guides to make people want to go on holiday to a particular place.
This learning started off with the class members reading a selection of travel brochures. We were set the task by Miss McAdam to identify positive adjectives. These are describing words that are used to make a noun sound exciting.
Our Class 8BM English work will conclude for the summer term with the students writing their own piece of travel writing. The aim will be to use as many positive adjectives as possible to help sell a destination.
