Green Class English, Science and Phonics Work

14

The Green Class children have been having great fun reading the Animal Boogie book. As the name suggests, this tells the story of different animals and the many movements that they are able to make. We have been watching short video clips of the different animals, and then copying their movements.

This work has led to sentences being written by the class members to describe what the different animals are doing. An example might be: the bear is shaking his body.

Many resources have been used for this activity. Animals toys have been brought into the class to help the children recognise the different characters.

Our science work in Green Class for the autumn term will explore the life cycle of butterflies and mammals. We will be looking at the stages of change, and how this happens.

Finally we have plenty of phonics games planned for the Green Class children to help with the speech and language development.
