Yellow Class Peter Pan Literacy

The Yellow Class pupils at Turney School have started work looking at the story of Peter Pan. The children have been getting to know some of the main characters and learning about their role in the story.

Our early work has involved the pupils colouring in some of their favourite characters. Class teacher Anna encourages the children to use the Picture Exchange Communication system to request resources. This helps the pupils to feel confident when communicating with adults.

Yellow Class have also been enjoying some PSHE time away from Turney School in a local cafe. Weekly trips are made out into the community. Each class member is asked to make their own choice from the menu. The pupils also pay for their food or drink with adult supervision.
