Fun in the Secondary School Singing & Signing Assembly

All secondary school students enjoyed their first singing and signing assembly of the summer term. Miss H started the assembly by helping everyone to warm up for the fun ahead. Some gentle stretching exercises took place.

The first song that we performed was Twist and Shout. Miss H reminded the pupils that this has a very fast beat. Staff member Debbie was able to provide her expert signing help. It was also great to see some dancing taking place!

The assembly then slowed down as the students sang Tomorrow. Miss H asked the students if they could remember which musical this song comes from. One of the pupils answered with Annie.

Finally the assembly came to a close with a lively performance of Don’t Go Breaking my Heart. This is a song that was first introduced to the pupils during the last Christmas concert. It remains one of the most popular for the pupils to perform.
