Class 10JB have been learning how to make a healthy sandwich during our food tech lessons. The pupils needed to follow a series of verbal instructions to complete the task in the correct sequence.
Choices were available to each class member. They had decided what type of spread they would like on their bread, as well as the sandwich filling.
Food tech skills such as chopping, grating and spreading were used. A sensory activity took place with a selection of herbs being smelt before the pupils made a choice.
Presentation was also important. The students were asked to think about how they might serve their snack. The exercise finished with all class members taking responsibility for tidying up their food tech space and washing up.
