Class 10TD have been thinking about the many ways that we can cook with potatoes during our autumn term food tech learning. A different potato dish is prepared each week. A recent menu item was a tasty sweet potato cake.
We spoke first about how this might be a healthy snack to eat. The ingredients included raisins, brown sugar and sweet potatoes. We identified that these are all healthy options.
Class 10TD used a variety of food tech skills to help us with our baking. Measuring, grating and mixing were all key learning objectives. The end result was some perfectly formed sweet potato cakes to enjoy at home.
