Blue Class have started their main spring term topic learning about British values. This is a cross curriculum way of learning. Each subject area is relevant to our British values learning.
We have started this work by creating some artwork. The biography of Queen Elizabeth II will feature later in the term. This seemed like the perfect opportunity to deign our own crowns to wear!
Each class member cut out the design of the crown. We placed these on top of a photo of ourselves. The children were asked to decorate these using glitter and coloured paper.
We will also be exploring our own backgrounds and writing short biographies of our lives. The children will be asked to consider how we are all different.
Later on in the term and we will be taking a trip around central London. Many of the main tourist attractions will be looked at by the Blue Class children.
This trip will also help the pupils with their geography work. We will be looking at different ways that we can travel around Britain.
