Year 9 have been working on improving our climbing, jumping and balancing skills as part of our PE learning. PE teacher Mr Jones was keen for the pupils to improve two aspects of their work: confidence and safety.
Some of the class members were a little unsure about approaching the large box to vault. Mr Jones asked them to make a personal choice that they would feel comfortable with. Some pupils climbed the box, whilst others were able to jump on to it.
A balancing beam activity also required concentration and confidence. A bean bag was place on the head of each pupil. This helped them to look ahead and keep a strong sense of balance. We finished the session by thinking about how we can improve our work in future sessions.
