Lime Class have been learning about feelings and emotions during the first half of the spring term. We have been reading the book Duck on a Bike to help with this learning.
The children have been trying to understand the feelings of the characters. We started by offering one word to describe how they might be feeling as the story unfolds.
This then developed into using full sentences. The Picture Exchange Communication system was used to help the pupils with their sentence structure.
We have also been exploring the feelings topic as part of our humanities learning. Lime Class have been looking at Ancient myths. We have used the Egyptian myth of Osiris and Isis to think about how the characters might be feeling.
These can be quite technical stories. The Lime Class children have been sequencing the stories to help them understand the plots. Some of the class members have been completing puzzles involving the main characters.
