Orange Class Emotions, Geography and Human Growth

Orange Class have been enjoying reading Elmer the Elephant to help us with our class topic learning about emotions. The book tells the story of an elephant who is different to all her friends. She feels different and has to find ways to feel happy about this.

Artwork in Orange Class has kept to a similar theme. The children have been painting pictures that make them feel happy, sad or upset. We have spoken about why the pictures make us feel this way, and how we can all try and feel happy.

Our geography work has involved the children exploring physical features. We have been looking at beaches, forest and hills. The children have been asked to think about what makes each of these different.

Finally our science work has seen the children studying human body changes. We have been looking at how babies grow into children, teenagers and then adults.
