The secondary school pupils put in another lively performance during a recent singing and signing assembly. The students now have a considerable song list to choose from. We always ask for song suggestions at the start of the assembly.
A brief warm up got the pupils in the mood for the activity ahead. Miss G then worked with the students to remind them of the words. Staff member Debbie supported with her brilliant signing skills.
The first song we performed was Wonderful World. We then moved on to Whole New World from the musical Aladdin. This is a tricky song with some new signs for the students to learn.
The singing and signing assembly came to a close with Michael Jackson’s Black or White. This is a Turney School favourite. It is guaranteed to get students and staff dancing.
We finished by singing Happy Birthday to three students who will be celebrating their special day during the coming week. Birthday cards from the school were handed out.
