The Year 13 students are continuing to complete various assignments as part of their AQA assessment programme. Certificates are awarded when various practical skills have been achieved. These can then be used in an employment situation to let employers know what skills we have to offer.
Different objectives for each student have been set by class teacher Miss G. Some of the students are learning how to create different sounds using the school guitars.
Our early guitar tuition has started with the single strings being played. One of the outcomes was to be able to play the top string down to the bottom string, and then back up once again. The next task will be to introduce some simple chords.
Other Year 13 students have AQA objectives based around the school keyboards. These tasks involve being able to turn the keyboards on and off, and manipulating the sound so that it changes.
