Class 10TD have been learning about the steps needed to grow a plant as part of our summer term science learning. We have covered every stage in the process. This includes taking delivery of a small plant in a garden centre, to growing a big plant in our own space.
The students have labelled diagrams explaining how to remove a plant from a small pot, placing it in a bigger pot, adding soil and plenty of water. Another group has been matching pictures of plants and adding in plenty of colour.
This has been a practical piece of learning. Class 10TD have been looking after some tomato plants in the Turney School outdoor growing space. We have been watering the plants each day and observing their growth.
