Class 7MA are learning about fables for our humanities summer term learning. We have looked in particular at the Christian story of the Good Samaritan.
The pupils have been thinking about what it means to ask for help. This has led to an understanding of how it might feel if a friend asks for help and we don’t respond.
Different table activities have taken place around this work. Some of the pupils have been learning how to spell the complex words in the story.
Another group of pupils has been looking at pictures from the Good Samaritan and identifying the character, and then describing what they are doing:
“The man is cleaning the dirty wound.”
We will be looking at other fables across different religions for the rest of the term. The pupils will compare their knowledge across all these stories.
