Transport and Park Trips in Red Class

Transport is the main topic in Red Class for the summer term at Turney School. We have been comparing transport that can move fast with other forms that are a little slower.

This learning has continued during our weekly visits to Brockwell Park. The children observe planes, trains and cars during the short walk. We talk about which types of transport can travel the fastest.

The children all have their own favourite type of transport. Staff members encourage conversation and ask the children to explain the reasons why.

Plenty of transport songs have been sung in Red Class. One of the favourites is a song all about bicycles.

Finally the pupils were very proud of a fruit salad that they recently prepared. The class members are very good at organising the snacks that we need for our picnics at Brockwell Park.
