End of Term Activities in Purple Class

Purple Class have been finishing off reading two books during the final few weeks of the summer term. The children have been learning about the characters in Hooray for Fish and Brown Bear, Brown Bear.

We have also been very active out in our local community. The aim is to help the children feel safe in their environment and to develop their social skills.

Trips have been made to Kennington and Crystal Palace. At Kennington we walked around the grounds at St Mark’s Church. Our trip to Crystal Palace helped the children to improve their confidence using public transport.

The children were asked to look out for the right bus for us to catch. They were shown where it is safe to wait. We asked the Purple Class children if they recognised any local landmarks during the journey. They were able to point out local shops as we passed through Brixton.
