The start of the new school year has seen a slight change to our weekly secondary Singing and Signing assemblies. Staff member Mark has very kindly offered to lead these assemblies. Some new songs will be introduced by Mark as he shares his musical knowledge and skills.
We started our first assembly of the autumn term with some gentle stretching. A simple game of Simon Said was played to help the students find their rhythm for a Monday morning.
Three popular Turney songs were then performed: Three Little Birds, Yellow Submarine and What a Wonderful World. Staff member Lisa was joined by some of the older students at the front to lead with the signing.
Birthday greetings were sung to students Martina and Selina, plus staff member Ollu. Our newly promoted Head Girl and Head Boy had the responsibility of dismissing each class back to their classroom.
