Class 8MA are working on improving their ball control skills during our PE lessons. The two techniques that the pupils have focussed on are aiming and throwing. The aim was to improve hand eye coordination.
Three work stations were set up in the Turney gym. The first involved a basketball hoop. The second saw a tennis ball balanced on a poll. The aim was to knock this off by throwing a second tennis ball. The final activity involved throwing beanbags through a hoop.
A colour coded system was set up to show where the class members should stand for each activity. They moved further back each time that they made a successful aim or throw.
