Our main reading book in Orange Class for the rest of the term is The Little Red Hen. This is a story about a hen who finds it hard to get any help from her animal friends when she is making some bread.
The children are using the themes in this book to help with their own learning. Sensory activities will include handling different types of seeds that are used to make break. Orange Class will make their own pretend play dough bread and then decorate this with some seeds.
Elsewhere in Orange Class and our maths work for this term involves exploring shapes. The children have been identifying shapes in our playground, as well as outside in our local community whenever we visit the local shops.
