Class 8MA are working towards creating an Andy Warhol inspired print during summer term art lessons. The pupils have been looking at light and dark colours to help with this learning.
One group of learners started by identifying which colours are light, and which are dark. These were cut out on a sheet of paper and then sorted into the correct column in a table.
Another group of Class 8MA learners have sorted orange and red spots. These are the two main colours that will be used in our final Warhol inspired art print.
Another activity has involved one class member matching up the symbols for some of the vocabulary that we use in art.
The students are encouraged to improve their verbal communication skills during these activities. Staff members ask the pupils to explain each choice that they make.
