The Year 13 students made the most of a recent rainy Monday by making improvements to their indoor PE skills. Sadly our regular Herne Hill Velodrome session was rained off. Instead we had plenty of fun playing polybat, boccia and indoor curling.
These activities are accessible for all the students. They allow the class members to compete and focus on improving their own techniques.
One of the students who has previously struggled with boccia was able to make progress by aiming his ball to knock down a large foam tube.
The teaching staff ask the students to think about which colour their team is, and then to anticipate when it is their turn to launch a ball. The class members also keep count of the scores across each game.
