Blue Class Transition to Turney Key Stage 1

The new Blue Class children have made great progress during the first few days of the new autumn term. This is a major step up for them with a transition to Key Stage 1.

Learning is now more structured with a different class routine to become familiar with. The class members now complete their work sitting at their own table spaces. They are adjusting well to following the new playtime and lunchtime routines.

The Picture Exchange Communication system is still used during snack time. This allows the pupils to express a choice to adults about which snacks they would like to eat. Some of the pupils are able to use their verbal communication skills.

The class members are expected to take a little responsibility for our shared space. Volunteers have helped to clean up after snack time. Plus we always have plenty of fun with our morning singing in Blue Class.
