Class 7SF Transition to Turney Secondary School

Class 7SF have made a smooth transition to the Turney Secondary School. This is a major change for the children with the teaching taking place in individual subject rooms. The first few days of the new term were spent getting to know each classroom and the teaching staff.

We have started an exciting science topic learning all about bones. Learning usually starts with some shared circle time. This is where science teacher Miss G introduces some of the key learning aims for the lesson.

Individual table time then follows. Each pupil is given a series of worksheets to complete based on their learning needs and objectives. Some of the tasks include identifying and describing different bones.

Sorting activities have taken place. The Year 7 pupils were asked to find samples of bones from our science box that matched some of the pictures on their worksheet.
