Purple Class Learn about Families with Owl Babies

Purple Class are continuing to read the Owl Babies story. The main focus for this theme is to learn about families and how we live together. This work has been connected to our own families.

Many play activities are set up around the classroom to help with this learning. Hidden owls are placed around our classroom for the children to find.

Messy play forms part of this learning. The owls are hidden away in resources such as sand trays or large bowls of dry pasta.

The children are learning about size as part of this activities. We have talked about large, medium, and small owls.

We are also introducing the children to play dough as part of their early Picture Exchange Communication learning. The children are encouraged to use the PECS picture for play dough to request these resources.
