Class 10IC have started a humanities topic researching natural disasters. The students are looking at earthquakes, floods, hurricanes and tornados.
Table activities involve looking at pictures of each type of disaster, and then sorting them under the correct heading.
Another group of learners are creating the scenery that we can expect to see with each natural disaster. The task involves cutting out pictures showing the impact of different disasters. These are then organised into a single scene for each disaster.
Finally one set of Class 10IC learners are thinking about which items we need if we are caught up in a natural disaster. They have sorted a collection of items into those that would be of use, and other luxuries that we wouldn’t need.
