Red Class have enjoyed some amazing interactive sessions based on our class book of Alice in Wonderland. Staff members have created masks for each of the characters in the story.
We are using these to help the children to identify the characters and to understand what happens to them in the story.
Our sessions start with each pupil choosing which character they want to be. They are handed out the masks and asked to act in character.
Class teacher Georgios then reads out the story in short sentences. The pupils repeat the sentence as the plot develops.
Whenever they hear the name of their character mentioned, the children are asked to stand up and act out what is taking place. This learning is backed up with individual table work.
