New Spring Term Sea Topic in Silver Class

The Silver Class children have started a new topic for the spring term. We are learning about the many different fishes we can find in the sea. The children are looking at the book Under the Sea to help with this learning.

Picture Exchange Communication cards are used to help recognise some of the creatures. The children choose a picture, and in return they are given a toy of the matching fish to play with.

The children are using play dough to create some fishes. Everyone has enjoyed playing with the ice blocks that contain frozen toy fishes inside. This is a great sensory activity for the young learners.

Two other fish books are lined up for the rest of the term. Silver Class will soon start work on reading The Rainbow Fish and Commotion in the Ocean.
