Green Class are learning about the planets in our solar system as we head into the half term break. The children are reading books that help us to remember the names of the planets. We will visit the Royal Observatory at Greenwich after the short holiday.
Elsewhere in Green Class and our regular activities continue. The children have their snack sessions each morning. The Picture Exchange Communication system is used to request different healthy snacks.
Our daily routine then develops to have calendar time. The children choose another class member to greet using their PECS board. We then look at what the date is and complete some table activities based on this.
The children are asked to describe the weather at the start of the day. They talk about which clothes are suitable to wear in different weather conditions.
This learning is all part of our social skills work in Green Class. It helps the pupils to work together and become good friends.
