Class 10MD are having plenty of fun during their summer term maths lessons. We start each lesson with some counting songs as a warmup.
A recent aim has been for the students to identify different shapes. We have counted how many sides each shape has. This then lead to the shapes being correctly identified.
Table work involved the Class 10MA students cutting out different shapes of various colours. Our task was then to stick these correctly in place on a grid system.
Some wooden shape lacing beads were also used. This was a great sensory activity as the students enjoy feeling the texture of each shape. The aim here was to match the physical beads with the pictures on our sheets.
