The Year 8 students are continuing with their weekly yoga lessons. The aim is to help the pupils to relax as well as improve their posture.
The class members are familiar with the yoga routine. They need to take their shoes off, and roll out their yoga mat. We encourage the pupils to take responsibility for their own equipment.
The students are also understanding the various terms and positions that we follow each week. These include yoga moves such as the ant, the butterfly and a gorilla.
Year 8 followed the instructions, as well as looking at a picture of each activity. A recent yoga session ended with a surprise move at the end. We were introduced to the new yoga pose of a unicorn.
