Year 9 Teamwork on PE Obstacle Course

The Year 9 students are working together as they take on an obstacle course as part of their PE learning. A short circuit was set up around the school gym. This took the form of a relay race.

The course started with some slaloms and running. We then had some hurdles to jump over. Small balls were thrown at a velcro target.

Beanbags had to be thrown inside a small bucket. The obstacle course finished with some delicate footwork running over a ladder.

Each team member carried a baton throughout the exercise. They had to pass this on to the next class member once they had finished the obstacle course.

We saw some great teamwork on show from the Year 9 students. We will be working each week on improving our speed and skills. The session came to a close with some circle time and gentle stretching.
