Life Skills Learning for 16+ Students

The 16+ students at Turney School have demonstrated great maturity during their weekly life skills learning sessions. We introduce various practical activities to prepare students for further learning or an introduction to the world of work.

With the arrival of spring weather, students have had the opportunity to work on outdoor projects. Some are actively involved in creating bird boxes for our school, sanding them down and then painting them. Another task involves tidying up the garden area, especially clearing the leaves.

Students are responsible for cleaning the outdoor garden furniture in preparation for the upcoming summer months. While this practical work is approached with seriousness, there is also a great deal of fun involved. Students wear professional overalls to ensure cleanliness and safety for everyone.
